Congratulations to Alina Schulhofer for winning a High Point Award at the recent FGC Senior Championships (LCM), held at the Coral Springs Aquatic Complex from July 26-28, 2013! Alina finaled in all her events as well well as took top 3 finishes in the 200IM, 200 Free, and more. She attributes her success to PAQ's intense focus on technical details and stroke mechanics to help her improve her times.

PAQ Congratulates Post-Grad swimmer Julie Stupp on continuing her pursuit of the Olympic dream...with TRIATHLON! Stupp is resuming her swim training professionally, and adding RUNNING and CYCLING to her repertoire! Currently at the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado for a tri-camp, but we will see her at the pool soon! Best of luck to Jules!

Alina comes to PAQ from Graz, Austria, where she began swimming at the age of 8. She moved to the US in 2008 to attend high school and train, and graduated from the American Heritage School (Plantation, FL) in May 2013. Schulhofer is an accomplished athlete with her sights set on the Austrian National Team, and making the European SC Championships in December 2013! Grigull Sets New 1,000-Free Record Courtesy: ICGaels.com Release: Monday 01/28/2013 NEW ROCHELLE, NY – Despite a new Iona record in the 1,000-free, the Iona College men’s swimming and diving team fell to local MAAC rival Manhattan 125-155 on Monday evening at the Hynes Athletics Center Pool. The record was broken by junior Justin Grigull, as he snapped Ace Blair’s 1991 mark of 9:45.44, by clocking in at 9:39.68 and placing first for the team. Grigull also won the 50-free in 21.92 and the 100-free in 47.30.

PAQ athlete Dany Gomez, 16, a junior at Grandview Preparatory School in Boca Raton, was among only 19 swimmers in south Florida to earn this honor. The Scholastic All-American Team is appointed from high school athletes from all over the USA. 1,226 athletes in total were selected, most of them boasting a 4.0 GPA in addition to achieving the required performance standards in the pool.
